Kforce is seeking a strategic and experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead end-to-end infrastructure operations in New York, NY. Must Have

- Proven experience managing infrastructure environments (3-5+ years in a leadership role)
- Strong background as a Network Architect, Systems Architect, or similar
- Experience with data center operations
- Hands-on understanding of Network infrastructure (Palo Alto)
- Hands-on understanding of Windows server environments
- Hands-on understanding of Patch management and endpoint protection (EDR)
- Hands-on understanding of Service desk operations (ticketing, SLAs)

Job Description
Kforce has a client in search of a strategic and experienced Infrastructure Manager to lead end-to-end infrastructure operations in New York, NY. Summary: This high-impact role will oversee Network Engineering, Systems Administration, and Service Desk functions, managing a team of ~20 technical professionals across multiple U.S. locations (New York, DC, and Florida). Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage three core teams:
- Network Engineering: Including oversight of Palo Alto firewalls and collaboration with the Security team
- Systems Administration: Primarily Windows server environment with some Mac OS; patching, EDR, and endpoint management
- Service Desk: Including ticketing systems and frontline IT support (ManageEngine)
- Coordinate operations across multiple office locations (remote management; No travel required)
- Provide strategic leadership, align team priorities, and ensure effective escalation processes
- Serve as the key liaison between technical teams and senior leadership
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers
- Support 24/7 operational continuity by ensuring schedules, shifts, and escalations are covered appropriately
- Foster a high-performing, well-organized infrastructure team with a focus on accountability and responsiveness
Requirements
- Proven experience managing infrastructure environments (ideally 3-5+ years in a leadership role)
- Strong background as a Network Architect, Systems Architect, or similar prior to leadership transition
- Experience with data center operations (New York-based DC exposure is ideal)
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Hands-on understanding of:
- Network infrastructure (Palo Alto)
- Windows server environments
- Patch management and endpoint protection (EDR)
- Service desk operations (ticketing, SLAs)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
